If you like serial killers, then you’re going to like the new video from Deathpoint. “Between the Lines” takes considerable inspiration from Dexter in that someone leads a secret serial-killer life while maintaining the outward appearance of a normal existence. Watch the video in the player above and you’ll understand what I’m talking about.
Deathpoint calls Hamilton, Ontario, home, making their brand of hard-riffing metal as tough as their industrial roots. On the video for “Between the Lines,” vocalist tom Emmans said:
The band is very excited to release this video. We had a blast shooting it in that creepy haunted looking house; I swear when the floors creaked there was a ghostly presence watching over us. We had a lot of fun just trying different things with the song and very happy with director Garrett Henry and his creative mind. We can’t wait for people to see this video and spread it online. The band also has tour dates coming up and we are anxious to announce, keep your eyes and ears open.
Deathpoint released their second album, Sinister, on October 1, 2013, soon after signing to Spread the Metal Records. It’s been indicated that the band will tour heavily throughout Canada in 2014, so if you’re in the area you should probably check out a show. This band has an infectious sound that should be on active rock stations during heavier rotations.
