Brock Lesnar Back In The UFC, It’s Still A Possibility

Brock Lesnar

At this point, it’s safe to say that former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and UFC President Dana White are talking to have the WWE superstar return to the Octagon for another possible run at the strap. During the Fight Night 35: Rockhold vs. Philippou media scrum, White hinted that Lesnar has some regrets with MMA and felt he wasn’t 100% when he went toe-to-toe with Cain Velasquez and Alistair Overeem. Lesnar lost both bouts via TKO in the very first round.

At that time, Lesnar underwent surgery to help battle his problems with diverticulitis. According to White, he had a 12-inch piece of his colon removed:

It’s interesting. He became champion with diverticulitis. What would he have done without it? From the first day he fought in the UFC until his last fight he was suffering from it. He never felt right. He just didn’t know why and then it really hit him. He feels like he was fighting here at 40%.

However, White still feels he accomplished a lot in MMA, regardless of what Lesnar thinks about his performance thus far:

He thinks a Brock Lesnar that was 100% could have done much better. I told him, ‘you’re out of your f*cking mind. You came in here with one fight and became the heavyweight champion.’ It was fun having Brock here.

Too me, it’s clear White is a huge fan of Lesnar since he obviously has juice in the tank and has a lot of potential in the heavyweight division. He also could still be one of the biggest pay-per-view draws for the UFC. If the WWE allows him to take fights in the UFC, then I see Lesnar returning sooner than later.

Would he like to fight again? I’m sure he would. We’ll see how this whole thing plays out. It’s definitely a possibility.
