Get ready for this, publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Frogwares Studio have officially announced that they will start development on Call of Cthulhu. This will be a new video game be based on the horror fiction role-playing game that released almost 30 years ago, which was also based on H.P. Lovecraft’s short story of the same name that was first published in Weird Tales in 1928. The story also first established the Cthulhu character.
According to Frogwares Studio:
We are aiming to continue this tradition and to present our very own contribution to Lovecraftian heritage with a video game.
At the moment, we don’t have any additional details other than a few concept arts that are currently being used to set the atmosphere of the game. Call Of Cthulhu will be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC.
