Here we go again with a brand new English trailer for Dead Snow: Red Vs. Dead, and this time we finally get a chance to see Martin kick ass with his fresh breed of hardcore zombies on the battle field. If you can imagine Braveheart without Scottish warriors and a sense of Wirkola humor, then you pretty much get Dead Snow 2. When I previously said that The Raid 2 was going to be the action film of the year, I was wrong. Hands down, Dead Snow 2 takes the cake in that category.
The U.S. distribution rights for Dead Snow 2 was recently acquired by Well Go USA, and it sounds like they have plans to release the film in theaters for a limited run. Makes sense when you consider the fact that the movie was also filmed in English. The original, however, is completely in Norwegian thanks to director Tommy Wirkola.
The world premiere of Dead Snow 2 took place only few days ago at Sundance.
About Dead Snow; Red vs. Dead
If the worst day of your life consisted of accidentally killing your girlfriend with an ax, chain sawing your own arm off, and watching in horror as your closest friends were devoured by a zombified Nazi battalion, then you’d have to assume that things couldn’t get much worse. In Martin’s case, that was only the beginning.
Picking up immediately where the original left off, Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead wastes no time getting right to the gore-filled action, leaving a bloody trail of intestines in its wake. Director Tommy Wirkola returns to the helm with a vengeance, coming up with more inventive ways to maim and dismember than you ever thought possible. Combining wry humor with horrific worst-case scenarios, this follow-up to the 2009 Midnight classic is sure to shock the weak-of-heart and delight even the most hardcore fans of the horror genre. Colonel Herzog is back, and he is not to be fucked with.
