Lily Rabe Joins “The Veil” Cast

Lily Rabe. If you don’t recognize her name, you might not be alone. However, if you watched American Horror Story, then you know and adore her as the Stevie Nicks-inspired good witch Misty Day, or Sister Mary Eunice McKee and Nora Montgomery. While she’s been working her way up in the industry since 2001, give or take, it was her role as Misty that has brought her to mainstream attention. So, will she become the next great scream queen?

Her future as a horror icon has yet to be determined, but Rabe is definitely keeping one foot in the bloody pool. The young ingenue has just signed on for a major role in the upcoming Phil Joanou-directed The Veil. Rabe will play the sole survivor of cult suicide, which took place when she was 5 years old. Thirty years later, she returns with a documentary film crew spearheaded by Jessica Alba.

The Veil is currently in pre-production.

As mentioned, Joanou (Gridiron Gang, State of Grace) is directing The Veil, written by Robert Ben Garant (Night at the Museum, Hell Baby).

We’re hoping she does commit to genre films, but we also support her advancement as an overall actress with her upcoming contributions to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and 2 and Pawn Sacrifice.

The Veil Synopsis:

Thirty years after members of a religious cult committed mass suicide, the lone survivor returns to the scene of the tragedy with a documentary crew in tow.
