Earlier this week, Metallica released a new song, “The Lords of Summer.” Unfortunately, at the time of release, the only copy available was a shitty cellphone video recorded by a fan in Bogota, Columbia. Well Metallica just released the “garage” version of the song via their Youtube page. The sound quality is 100 times better and you can definitely hear some old-school Kill ‘Em All and Master of Puppets in the song, specifically “Leper Messiah.” I’m really enjoying this tease by Metallica, and I’m hoping their album brings more of this back to the metal genre.
