Rumors based on leaked screenshots are now squashed for the next Assassin’s Creed installment that we reported on last Thursday.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity is the official title of the game and it’s set for release over the holiday on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. According to a French Ubisoft video, this will be the first true next-gen Assassin’s Creed sequel, so don’t expect to see this released on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Ubisoft also confirmed that the game has been in development for more than three years, and it is indeed set in 18th century France during the French Revolution.
At this moment, there’s still a possibility that Ubisoft might develop another version of Assassin’s Creed for previous-gen consoles, but official details have not been confirmed yet.
We’ll continue to keep Yellers in the loop on Assassin’s Creed: Unity in the future.
Stay tuned!
