AMC is proudly reporting the viewership numbers for the Season 4 Finale of The Walking Dead. According to what the network is reporting, 15.7 million people watched the finale (10.2 million adults, 18-49), and people stayed locked to AMC for the Talking Dead after show with 7.3 million viewers (4.7 million, 18-49).
On the whole, Season 4 shattered Season 3’s viewership with 13.3 million viewers (8.6 million, 18-49) per episode. That’s an increase of 24%/22% over Season 3. I can only guess that viewership was so high because we were all so happy to see something other than the prison, even if the showrunners dragged their feet after the mid-season break.
