“On the bubble” shows have been announced (see the list at USAToday), which means there are only a few more precious weeks for them to prove themselves worthy of renewal. Unfortunately, despite a season high rating last Friday, Hannibal isn’t even on the bubble. That’s right, in all likelihood, Hannibal is headed for the meat grinder once this season concludes.
It’s a shame really. Hannibal is one of the smartest crime dramas out there, and combined with its macabre element, it’s one of the most gripping. Apparently people just aren’t that into it.
