It appears that the remaining members of As I Lay Dying are moving forward with new music without Tim Lambesis, who has pleaded guilty to his murder-for-hire charges. The result of his plea will likely be an extended stay in a Federal penitentiary, and that’s not really conducive to the demands of a band.
Things have yet to be confirmed, and the band’s Facebook page and website remain dark, but Nick Hipa, Phil Grasso, Jordan Mancino, and Josh Gilbert have all posted individual snippets of what appears to be a collaborative new song. As it stands, no one is sure who is filling in on vocals, but as Loudwire is reporting, there’s speculation that it’s bassist Josh Gilbert. Whoever it is, As I Lay Dying are clearly taking a new direction with their sound.
