by To lump Quebec’s Hollow in with melodic death metal seems like a short-sell. Truly, this band has many more facets to their sound, not excluding black metal, symphonic metal, or thrash. That’s why I’m just going to go ahead and call them extreme metal. Actually, really fucking good extreme metal!
But you can decide for yourself when you listen to Hollow’s debut album, Mordrake. The album was just released last week, on May 30th, but the band has since made the album available to stream on YouTube. Sincerely, you need to check this band and this album out; there’s no doubt that it will surprise you.

Produced at Uplift Studios by Kevin Jardine (Slaves On Dope) and co-produced by Dan Lauzon (Entropy) and Hollow, the debut is the follow up to the band’s 2010 EP Cynoptic Eschaton and features 12 extreme tracks all recorded with an unique analogue approach.
