Bloodborne (previously known as Project Beast) has got to be the goriest and creepiest trailer shown at E3 2014. Why? Because it features deranged beings and nightmarish creatures of the dark getting decapitated by a dude with a huge mechanical blade. Apparently, this action RPG is a spiritual sequel to Demon’s Souls, like many fans suspected it to be before Sony’s reveal at E3. The main character is also pretty darn similar to Demon’s Souls, which you will see for yourself in the debut trailer above.
One of the ways we are bringing that sense of danger to life is by keeping the deep strategic elements from Demon’s Souls, while also transitioning from the passive and block-and-attack style of Demon’s Souls to a quicker, more offensive and active combat style with close-range weapons and guns.
Bloodborne is currently being developed by FromSoftware and produced by SCE Japan Studio. It’s expected to launch in early 2015, exclusively for the PlayStation 4 console.
