Sharknado became a cultural phenomenon last year, so much so that a whole host of notable celebrities wanted to be a part of the sequel. Well, the celebs showed up in droves, and you can see them all in double-row big-tooth glory when Sharknado 2: The Second One airs on Syfy this July 30th.
Yes, that air date is still miles away, but we have the first official trailer to tie you over. And the trailer, well, if you don’t roll your eyes, chuckle a little, and say, “awesome!” at least once, well, then you’re a freakin’ zombie.
Sharknado 2 was directed by Anthony C. Ferrante from a screenplay by Thunder Levin, and stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Mark McGrath, Kari Wuhrer, Vivica A. Fox, and Judah Friedlander, with cameo appearances from Kelly Osbourne, Judd Hirsch, Perez Hilton, Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Andy Dick, Robert Klein, Sandra “Pepa” Denton, Biz Markie, Downtown Julie Brown, Richard Kind, and Kurt Angle, among others.
