After months of speculation and a release date delay, Techland finally revealed when Dying Light will officially hit store shelves for next-gen and current consoles, as well as for Windows PC. According to the game’s newest trailer that was showcased at this year’s Gamescon, Dying Light will challenge players against hordes of flesh eaters on January 27, 2015.
That’s right! Early next year, like many predicted, players can enter a massive open world in which zombies are not the only threat and the environment plays against you. Powered by the latest Chrome Engine 6, Dying Light features free-running movement to let players swiftly navigate the world by seamlessly leaping between buildings, grappling up walls, and pouncing on unsuspecting enemies. You will be able to fully customize and upgrade characters to match any play style, as well as craft weapons similar to the crafting mechanics in Dead Island.
All that and so much more in Dying Light in January. Watch the trailer above to get an idea of the four-player co-op mode.
Enjoy!
