Alright, so we might sound a little crazy here talking about Halloween already, but trust us, this new horror movie is perfect for those getting a head start on that list of movies to watch in October.
It’s called The Houses October Built from the executive producer of Insidious and Paranormal Activity, and it centers around five friends who set off on a road trip in an RV to track down haunted house attractions across the country. Unfortunately, they come to a dead end in Louisiana and the haunt comes to them.
To me this sounds like a creepy and perfect tale for the month of October. I’d even call it an instant Halloween classic, if The Houses October Built turns out to be as good as the trailer. I’m also confident that the director is touching on new ground in his movie, as he stated in a recent press release:
We found out that over 35 million people go to Halloween Haunts each year, but out of all the horror films out there, no one has touched on these places. It’s untapped. So we decided to tell a story centered around the holiday and set it in the world of Halloween Haunted Houses.
If you like what you see in the trailer so far, then make sure The Houses October Built is on your must-see horror movies list for Halloween this year. It’s available for viewing in select theaters and VOD starting on October 10, 2014.
Enjoy and share the horror!
