Any Amon Amarth fans out there? Of course you’re fans of Amon Amarth. They’ve been kicking death metal ass for the past 20 years. Well, just today they released the official music video for “Deceiver of the Gods,” which also shows footage from the new film, Northmen: A Viking Saga, which features Johan Hegg, vocalist of Amon Amarth. I don’t know about you, but the opening riff on this song when Johan kicks in with the death metal scream just automatically makes me head bang. You can’t fight that urge, believe me, I’ve tried. A few months ago I did a review on the first official trailer for Northmen: A Viking Saga and since then there have been a couple of new trailers. I’m liking the mix of the Amon Amarth music with the film footage a lot. I mean, it makes sense to add death metal with a Viking theme to a movie about Vikings, am I right? The video shows amazing fighting choreography along with great effects. This all comes with blood and gore, for those of you who were concerned. It wouldn’t be right if it didn’t include those items. To add to the recent music video and film that is due some time in October, Amon Amarth will also be doing a Fall Tour with support from Skeletonwitch and Sabaton.
