Master Chief was the main protagonist and main playable character for years in the Halo trilogy, including Halo 4, but fans of the top-selling sci-fi shooter should know that’s all about to change in the upcoming next-gen sequel. However, Mast Chief won’t be completely wiped out from the Halo series just yet.
According to Microsoft, a representative confirmed Master Chief will be a playable character in Halo 5: Guardians and will remain part of the game’s main story.
As we’ve said before, Locke plays a primary role in Halo 5: Guardians. The Master Chief remains an integral part of the game’s story and as a playable character.
Agent Jameson Locke, a new character in the series has been assigned as a primary character in Halo 5. Mike Colter, the actor who plays Locke recently revealed his character has a significant role :
Yeah, I’m a playable character in Halo 5. Once Halo: The Master Chief Collection is released, and then Halo 5 comes out shortly thereafter, you’re basically going to be playing a game with me as the primary character.
Locke will also appear in the Ridley Scott produced live-action miniseries Halo: Nightfall, which begins on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Halo 5: Guardians is due out sometime in 2015 for Xbox One.
