Are you getting tired of zombies, ghost stories, and the alien abduction movie craze happening right now? I know, it’s overwhelming and I understand why people are turned off by horror these days. Horror is repetitive and that’s not going to change anytime soon. Will another werewolf story make a difference? Probably not!
To say another retelling of a werewolf story is good thing for horror is a lie, but since I’m a big fan of the genre because of movies, such as American Werewolf in London and Dog Soldiers, I don’t plan on skipping Late Phases, an upcoming werewolf movie from Spanish director Adrian Garcia Bogliano (Here Comes the Devil), which seems to be inspired by those two classics. Plus, Late Phases stars Stake Land’s Nick Damici, who commands the screen again after a solid performance in last year’s Sundance vigilante thriller Cold in July, and the critically acclaimed cannibal drama, We are What we are. So, I’m sensing this could also be good.
You can check out the trailer for Late Phases above. If you think it looks great then make sure to catch its limited run in theaters on November 21, 2014.
