UFN 56: Mauricio “Shogun” Rua Receives A 60-day Medical Suspension

UFC Fight Night Combate: Shogun vs Saint Preux

After Saturday night’s stunning 34-second loss to Ovince St. Preux, the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) announced today that Mauricio “Shogun” Rua received a 60-day suspension for the injury he sustained in the main event. For Rua, that officially means two full months to think about what went wrong in the fight and to think about his future in the UFC.

In addition, CABMMA also confirmed that all the fighters from UFN 56 have post-fight injuries and medical suspensions. The full list follows right below, courtesy of MMA Fighting.
