What’s the beef between Conor McGregor and Cat Zingano? I’m sure some of you are wondering the same thing after Zingano nearly smacked the Irishman in the face with a hat during her entrance at UFC 184 against Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey. Although, details about the hat incident are still vague, Zingano later apologized to McGregor over Twitter. She also said she was just helping keep his reflexes sharp.
According to McGregor via MMA Fighting, there’s absolutely no beef between them whatsoever.
There’s no beef… I hope not. I love Cat. I love women’s MMA, I’m a big fan of all the female athletes and Cat is up there as one of the best of them… I saw it coming a mile away. I could have caught it but there was some lucky fans behind me so I said, ‘I’ll let them take the hat.’
McGregor’s improved reflexes may come in handy when he faces UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo in the main event at UFC 189 on July 11, 2015, in Las Vegas.
