It’s a little earlier than the foretold Record Store Day release, but who’s going to complain about the sooner-than-expected release of a new Slayer track? You? C’mer! I cast thee to eternal damnation in hell!
The new track is titled “When the Stillness Comes” and careful ears will hear a Seasons-era sound well-balanced with a late-’90s Slayer era. There’s no word yet on the forthcoming album’s title or even when it will be released, but you can bet your ticket to hell that we’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything. However, Slayer did tell Rolling Stone that they’ve rerecorded “Implode” and “Atrocity Vendor” for the album, and other song titles include “Take Control,” “You Against You,” “Chasing Death,” “Cast the First Stone,””Pride,” and “Vices.”
Until further notice, play “When the Stillness Comes” until your ears bleed!
