by Scott Weiland has one of the best and most recognizable voices, and given his somewhat free-agent status, it’s no wonder he gets picked up to join supergroups. The most recent project he’s joined, of course, is Art of Anarchy, but John Moyer (Disturbed) and Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (Guns N’ Roses) involved, the term “supergroup” is used loosely, which is not to discredit their musical talents. The band also introduces twin brothers Jon (guitar) and Vince Votta (drums), and the group has recently signed a worldwide record deal with Century Media imprint, Another Century.
Not so long ago, Art of Anarchy released a new video for the track “‘Til the Dust Is Gone,” from their upcoming self-titled album. The album has a June 8th release date. The track is solid with a hell of a groove, but the video, well, it’s an awful lot like Guns N’ Roses’ “Don’t Cry” or KISS’ “Hide Your Heart.”

About Art of Anarchy:
The band started out of an 18-year friendship between Bumblefoot and the Votta brothers, dating back to the local New York music scene. Jon Votta approached Bumblefoot with the idea of putting together a unique new rock band that would have people talking. They knew Weiland would be the ideal singer to handle the band’s musical diversity. Once Weiland was on board, the band was completed by the aggressive, precise, melodic bass of career-rocker John Moyer.
Jon Votta, the grand architect behind Art of Anarchy, co-wrote the album, and shares lead responsibilities with Bumblefoot. According to Votta, “This is the record I always dreamed of making since I started playing guitar”. Vince Votta came up with the band name based upon these principles: it had to be extreme, uncompromising, and make a bold statement.
