Say goodbye to the reboot of the Tales from the Darkside TV series because The CW won’t be reviving the anthology horror show anytime soon. We just got word from CarterMatt.com that the network has passed on Tales from Darkside for two simple reasons; the show’s anthology format appears to be inconvenient at the moment and the lack of a showrunner has made the show a no-go. Therefore, The CW won’t be picking it up or any new shows this season.
The Tales from the Darkside reboot was originally penned and produced by Joe Hill (Stephen King’s son) with Kris Lemche (Final Destination 3, Ginger Snaps, eXistenZ) attached to play Newman, a lead character who was expected to appear in all (or most) episodes.
Now that Tales from the Darkside is out of the way, horror hounds can’t at least look forward to iZombie, which was just renewed for a second season on The CW.
