Back in January, we got goose bumps when we heard that FOX was planning to bring The X-Files back to the small screen. Now, we are literally shitting our pants because we know when the two-part miniseries will officially premiere. So, make sure you got an extra roll of toilet paper handy since this is exciting shit!
According to a press release from FOX, which pretty much announced their 2015 – 2016 fall TV schedule, the television network revealed that the return of The X-Files six-episode event series will premiere on Sunday, January 24th, between 10:00pm – 11:00pm EST after the NFC Championship game. That’s right! Note this shit down in your smart phone immediately because you won’t want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime event, which reunites our two favorite paranormal FBI agents, Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson).
As for the second half of the two-night X-Files miniseries premiere will air at 8:00pm EST the following night on Monday, January 25th, with subsequent episodes also airing on Monday nights.
For those who aren’t aware, filming on the show is expected to start in June 2015.
