Watch A New Teaser Trailer For The X-Files [VIDEO]

It’s only 16 seconds long, but I guarantee it will put a smile on every X-Fan out there. A first teaser trailer for the new six-part “event series” has been released giving us a look at David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their beloved roles as FBI agents and a few new surprises. Well, actually, they aren’t really surprises anymore. First, the teaser hints the military will be involved – you see government-types creeping out of the shadows. Second, there’s something being injected into someone’s arm, which appears to look like black oil. Perhaps, Mulder and Scully will be investigating this? Lastly, someone’s treading on Mulder’s iconic “I WANT TO BELIEVE” poster.

I guess the teaser actually revealed enough details today, don’t you think?

Executive produced, written, and directed by series creator Carter, The X-Files will premiere on Sunday, January 24th, between 10:00pm – 11:00pm EST after the NFC Championship game on Fox.
