It sounds like Ronda Rousey won’t be the only one defending the title on Saturday night at UFC 195. It’s now being reported that Joanna Jedrzejczyk might also be defending in the co-main event on January 2, 2015 in Las Vegas, according to UFC President Dana White via the Los Angeles Times.
Jedrzejczyk is currently undefeated in the UFC and had a dominant win over former women’s UFC strawweight champion Carla Esparza in March, winning the title by TKO in the second round. Since inking a deal with the UFC in July 2014, the Polish mixed martial artist also had wins over Juliana Lima, Claudia Gadelha, and most recently defeating former Invicta atomweight champion Jessica Penne, stopping her by TKO in the third round.
Jedrzejczyk is expected to face Gadelha, a rematch at UFC 195. Her co-manager Tiago Okamura confirmed the UFC wants her on the UFC 195 card, but nothing is official yet.
