Last month, Edmonton, Alberta’s hard rocking band with a classic ’80s heavy metal sound, Striker, premiered their track “Too Late.” It kicked ass, and today the band dropped the “live” performance video for the track. I have to say, it’s rather awesome to hear and see some old school style again, and especially since it’s authentic and not a parody. Hard to believe that there was once a time that heavy metal could be fun!
Watch the video in the player above and let us know what you think. One thing is for sure, you can’t deny that these guys are on fire with the guitar solo… but there’s so much more awesome wickedness to this track than just the guitars.
About the video, the band stated:
For this video we wanted to channel the essence of Bon Jovi, but with less hairspray and more metal. It’s hard to go wrong with a well done performance video, and we decided to put a modern twist on it with all the slow motion, color, and moving lights in the background. We like to bounce back and forth between the high concept videos like our Keg Monster videos and simpler things like this; we need to show people what it’s like at a Striker show! More pyro next time I swear!
“Too Late” is featured on Striker’s forthcoming album, Stand In the Fire, which comes out on February 5, 2016. Pre-order the album here.
Striker will hit the road with Primal Fear across Europe in February 2016.
