We’ve got more fantastic news coming from SXSW this week, but this time the spotlight is on Carnage Park. A horror-thriller about a captivity gone wrong in the late ‘70s in the California desert. The film follows a story about a young women (Ashley Bell) held hostage by two bank robbers, however, the situation worsens by an insane military sniper (Pat Healy), who poses an even greater threat on her life.
Carnage Park was written/directed by Michael Keating and produced by Eric B. Fleischman with Sean Tabibian. The film made its premiere in the Midnight section of the Sundance Film Festival in January, and now it’s currently screening at SXSW this week.
It was just acquired by IFC Midnight for US distribution.
