Jonathan Nolan (The Dark Knight) and Lisa Joy (Pushing Daisies), and executive produced by J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) have joined forces to bring fans an updated version Michael Crichton’s futuristic tale in Westword.
The new series is heavily inspired by the 1973 film of the same title about a futuristic theme park populated by artificial beings. Ahead of the epic series Game of Thrones on Sunday night, HBO debuted a new teaser trailer for Westworld. Notable cast includes Anthony Hopkins, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Shannon Woodward, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Ben Barnes, Clifton Collins Jr. and Ed Harris.
There’s no official word on when the show will officially debut, but it appears like HBO is aiming for October.
