James Wan and Leigh Whannell are once again attached to another entry in the SAW franchise, which they kicked off over ten years ago. Shit truly flows that fast, especially when it comes to marketable horror films like SAW and Friday the 13th. Well, at least the first one was pretty awesome and after the third, shit really got stale, but it continued to bring in tons of bling of the years regardless of its quality.
Anyhow, Wan is producing the next installment entitled SAW: Legacy featuring the beloved Jigsaw and his torturing karma lessons. Yeah! That’s the working title for now, so learn to love it because it might never change.
At the moment, Bloody Disgusting reported that Michael and Peter Spierig (Predestination, Daybreakers, Undead) are being eyed to direct the new SAW movie, but an official confirmation from Lionsgate hasn’t been announced yet.
SAW: Legacy is currently scheduled for release on October 27th, 2017. Stay tuned to Yell! Magazine for much more SAW updates to come.
