UFC 205: Conor McGregor Wants Lightweight Title Bout At MSG

UFC 205

It appears like Conor McGregor is healthy following UFC 202 and wants to cash in on another big pay day. Plus, he is targeting a new belt.

Contrary to all the rumors currently circulating from the UFC Tonight report, new sources are confirming that McGregor’s leg is in a good shape since he is already training at the gym. Apparently, the only fight the Irishman wants right now is a shot at the lightweight gold. Which means he would have to face Eddie Alvarez at Madison Square Garden later this year. Best of all, Alvarez also wants a match with McGregor at UFC 205, but an offer has not been made.

According to UFC President Dana White, Alvarez has been offered a fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov at MSG. However, it’s unclear if the match is officially set in stone yet.

At the moment, there’s no headliner for UFC 205, but it sounds like something is going to be announced very soon as things are really heating up.

UFC 205 will be held on November 12, 2016.
