Following his very successful win over CM Punk last month, defeating the former WWE superstar within minutes, Mickey Gall has stepped up his promotion game.
During his post-fight Octagon interview at UFC 203, Gall called out Sage Northcutt, who instantly accepted the challenge moments later on Twitter. Ever since, Gall has vowed to stop, I mean “destroy” the 20-year-old UFC star inside the Octagon.
With the fight officially set in stone for December, Gall told TMZ what he plans to do against Northcutt and he sounds brutal.
I’m gonna do a lot to him. I don’t see this one being one round. I see this being longer than that and I’m gonna break his bones. I’m gonna hurt him bad. I’m gonna bust him up, break his bones, tear things. I’m gonna put a beating on him…His boxing sucks. His ground game is pretty bad. So there’s holes on both sides. I know how I’m gonna fight him. It’s gonna be bad for him. He’s gonna feel like crap.
Gall faces Northcutt in a welterweight bout at UFC on Fox 22 on Dec. 17 in Sacramento, Calif. In the meantime, Gall thinks he will be a UFC champion in the future.
I’m gonna be a UFC champion. I don’t know a timetable, those things are hard to say but eventually I’ll be UFC champion.
