Many of you have already seen George A. Romero’s classic zombie hit Night of the Living Dead a million times, but none of you have ever experienced in bloodlusting 4K. That’s probably because it has never been restored to this new digital standard until now.
For those of you who want to see it in 4K soon, then you’re in luck! This fall fans can officially experience the 4K version of the 1968 zombie film on the big screen during its world premiere at The Museum of Modern Art’s To Save and Project festival on November 5th at 8PM. In addition, Romero will also be present to celebrate the special 4K screening of Night of the Living Dead.
Perhaps the most influential horror film of the last 50 years, fans will be happy to know that the 4K restoration was supervised by the master of horror Romero and conducted by MoMA and The Film Foundation.
Tickets for that program go on sale October 22nd. An additional screening will take place at the Museum at 7:00 p.m. on November 12th.
