Monte Pittman Taps Into Madness On “Guilty Pleasure”

Monte Pittman is back with another killer track and video for “Guilty Pleasure.” And, after posting Nathaniel Shannon’s video for “Debutantes” yesterday, I have to ask, “what’s with the women-killing-men theme?”

Hopefully you know that Pittman is a guitar wizard, a fact that is on display on “Guilty Pleasure.” I haven’t yet listened to the album that the track is found on, Inverted Grasp of Balance, but having heard previous albums, I’m sure he shreds throughout. Even though his solos are piercing and some of the riffing is frenetic on “Guilty Pleasure,” I really like the mid-song breakdown with the mid-tempo solo and the driving bass line; it’s badass, and, given the context of the song, it serves as an aural trip into psychotic madness.

Order Inverted Grasp of Balance here.

The “Guilty Pleasure” video was shot on location at Beauty & Essex in Las Vegas, Nevada; stars Leanna Decker (model and Playboy‘s Cybergirl of the year 2012); and was directed by Vince Edwards.
