UFC 205: Chris Weidman Medically Out For 60 days After Bloody Knockout Loss

Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman fought his heart out at UFC 205 in New York City. Despite his champion-like efforts in the Octagon on Saturday night, Weidman was ultimately defeated by his Cuban opponent Yoel Romero in the third-round.

It was a brutal loss which will most likely be labeled as one of UFC’s most vicious knockouts ever in the history of the sport. Seconds into the third-round, Weidman attempted a take down on Romero, but instead was dropped by spectacular flying knee. It instantly knocked Weidman out with a bloodied up face.

Following his loss, the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) revealed his medical suspension along with an entire list of medical suspensions of other fighters from UFC 205.
