Last Friday, Superjoint unleashed their first studio effort in more than a decade. Now the band has released the official video for the album’s title track, “Caught Up in the Gears of Application.”
Initially revealed for the first time at Superjoint’s special record release show this past Saturday at Gas Monkey Live! in Dallas, Texas, “Caught Up in the Gears of Application” was captured at various locations in Louisiana including the historic district of Old Kenner, the Blue Nile in New Orleans, and the Housecore compound. The clip was directed by Kate Richardson courtesy of Housecore Records, and shot and edited by Mike Holderbeast with production by Carolyn Babauta.
Elaborates Superjoint’s Philip H. Anselmo cryptically:
The video is supposed to be as ridiculously abstract as the song itself. But regardless, it makes its ridiculous point(s) dreadfully well.
Caught Up in the Gears of Application is out now via Anselmo’s own Housecore Records on CD, vinyl, and digital formats. Various order bundles are available via Housecore here. For digital orders, point your browser here or here.
