Much more Star Wars news coming your way this Saturday morning. Earlier this week we shared a new trailer for the highly-anticipated Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Now, we have a fresh new update on the cast for the upcoming untitled Han Solo Star Wars movie.
It officially appears like Emilia Clarke is heading to a galaxy far, far away — and she’s going to meet Han and Chewie. StarWars.com announced that Clarke, known for Game of Thrones, will co-star alongside Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover in the stand-alone Han Solo Star Wars movie. Clarke’s role will round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures.
Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will sit in the directors chairs with a release date scheduled for 2018.
