M. Night Shyamalan’s Split Teased In A New Official Poster

I wasn’t a fan of M. Night Shyamalan’s last movie The Visit, in fact, I haven’t been a fan of his last five films. They sucked, period. The trailers are even worse because they are usually very deceiving to what you get, so maybe Split will end up being pure thrash again.

However, I must say Split sounds particularly good and the trailer appears to be fairly faithful so far. A man named Kevin (James McAvoy) has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley), there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all the others. The official poster released this week suggests the 24th will be a lethal personality, similar to one of a struggling madman.

Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy, The Witch), Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him—as well as everyone around him—as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.

Written, produced, and directed by Shyamalan and also produced by Jason Blum and Marc Bienstock, Split will be released by Universal Pictures on January 20th, 2017.
