Thanksgiving is a time for celebration for most people, but for some it’s a time to ridicule and put others down like a dog. That’s exactly what Tito Ortiz just did to Chael Sonnen to promote Bellator 170.
A few hours ago, Ortiz dropped a video on Instagram comparing his opponent Sonnen to a Thanksgiving turkey that he attempts to inject with butter, which is also a direct comparison to performance-enhancing drugs.
Ortiz said,
I couldn’t stop thinking about what Chael does to himself. Probably not butter. Stuff that he says he gets from a doctor.
He also added,
He is kind of like a turkey. But don’t you know, juice is bad for you.
Before returning to combat sport, Sonnen failed three drug tests throughout his MMA career. Two of them was for UFC 175 against Vitor Belfort, which at one time was linked with long-time rival Wanderlei Silva. The other failed drug test was for UFC 117 against Anderson Silva in August 2010, where Sonnen tested positive for elevated testosterone levels.
