Amityville: The Awakening Gets A New Release Date

Amityville: The Awakening is the seventeenth installment in the Amityville saga directed by Maniac director Franck Khalfoun from a screenplay he wrote, which appears to be heavily inspired by the 1982 sequel, Amityville II: The Possession.

A single mother moves her three children into a haunted house, unaware of its bloody history.

Initially, The Awakening was scheduled to haunt the big screen next month, but now Dimension Films is targeting a summer release. It’s over a six month delay and already suffered from multiple calendar shuffles. The Awakening’s new official theatrical release date is now slated for June 30th, 2017.

The horror films star Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bella Thorne, Cameron Monaghan, Thomas Mann, and Kurtwood Smith. It was produced by Jason Blum.
