Following speculations that the UFC is targeting an interim lightweight title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Nate Diaz, the Stockton bad boy shared his recent thoughts on what’s next for him in his MMA career.
On Wednesday night, Diaz responded in a text message to MMA Fighting. Apparently, he is only interested in big money fights at lightweight.
Diaz said,
I’m only fighting at lightweight for a big fight or 20 million just to take the call, I’m just living my life.
As far as a trilogy with Conor McGregor, Diaz added.
I already beat him, and they aren’t paying enough to fight him again.
Diaz was last seen inside the Octagon at UFC 202 in August against McGregor where he lost the rematch via majority decision. His fight purse was around 2 million according to figures released by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
