Former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks who once faced one of the greatest in MMA, Georges St-Pierre, is having a hard time cutting weight these days. In fact, Hendricks missed weight again for UFC 207, which kicks off tonight in Las Vegas.
After missing weight by 2.5 pounds on Thursday, Hendricks told MMAFighting.com that he’s done with welterweight and has no future goals in the 170-pound division.
Hendricks said,
I’m done fighting at welterweight. Unless they open up a 175-pound division, I’m moving up to middleweight.
The former UFC welterweight kingpin meets Neil Magny tonight at UFC 207. The headliner is a title fight between Amanda Nunes and Ronda Rousey. The co-main event features another title fight between Dominick Cruz and Cody Garbrand.
