For those of you who missed the release of the second trailer for Rings, then you’ve come to the right place to check out now. In the trailer, fans of this horror franchise will quickly notice that Samara hasn’t forgiven any of her victims just yet and has unique new ways to haunt them.
A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before.
Rings directed by F. Javier Gutiérrez from a script penned by David Loucka and Jacob Estes and Akiva Goldsman, is the third installment in the Ring franchise, which is set 13 years after the events of the first chapters of the horror franchise.
A viral video appears to set off Samara’s deadly curse, giving victims only 7 days to live. The only way to lift the curse is to share the video with someone else.
Rings hits theaters on February 3rd, 2017.
