Tremors 6 Now In Production, Plot Details Released

Tremors 6

It sounds like there’s a lot more room left for some more over-the-top and crazy Graboid events to happen in an all-new sequel in the Tremors saga. A sixth installment to be precise and it’s already moving forward overseas.

Intrepid creature hunter Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and his son Travis (Jamie Kennedy) find themselves in a remote hotbed of giant man-eating worms in the newest action-packed entry, Tremors 6. According to a press release from Universal 1440 Entertainment, production is now underway for this outrageous horror comedy in Cape Town, South Africa.

In Tremors 6, the aforementioned duo come under attack by you know what… Graboids, but this time weaponized. Perhaps, with freakin’ laser beams attached to their heads? Nobody really knows what’s cooking in the oven yet for Tremors 6. However, Glenn Ross, general manager and executive vice president, Universal 1440 Entertainment believes it’s going to be the craziest Tremors film to date.

Ross said,

This is going to be the craziest, most over-the-top movie in the Tremors saga to date. It takes the franchise’s signature combination of suspense, action and humor to new explosive heights.

The Graboid hunters will be joined by franchise newcomers Tanya van Graan (Death Race: Inferno, Zulu), Rob van Vuuren (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) and Greg Kriek (Momentum). Tremors 6 is directed by Don Michael Paul (Sniper: Legacy, Tremors 5: Bloodlines) from a script by John Whelpley (Tremors 5: Bloodlines).

It will hit Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD in 2018.
