With the release of Ghost in the Shell coming up later this month, Paramount Pictures has dropped a new clip from the film featuring Scarlett Johansson as Major.
In the clip, Major wakes up after her body has been cyber-enhanced to perfection. Meaning the first person transformed into a perfect soldier for Public Security Section 9, which is a special-operations task-force made up of former military officers and police detectives.
When terrorism reaches a new level that includes the ability to hack into people’s minds and control them, Major is uniquely qualified to stop it. As she prepares to face a new enemy, Major discovers that she has been lied to: her life was not saved, it was stolen. She will stop at nothing to recover her past, find out who did this to her and stop them before they do it to others.
Directed by Rupert Sanders, Ghost in the Shell is based on the internationally acclaimed Japanese Manga of the same name, staring Johansson, Pilou Asbæk, Takeshi Kitano, Michael Pitt, and Juliette Binoche.
The highly-anticipated film hits theaters on March 31.
