Besides having a small role in Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant, Noomi Rapace has much bigger part in Steven Shainberg’s Rupture. The Swedish actress plays as, Renee Morgan, a single mom who tries to break free from a mysterious organization that has abducted her.
While in route to meet up with a friend, she is violently abducted by a group of strangers. After enduring intense yet strange questioning and examinations, some about her fear of spiders, Renee soon discovers that she is now the subject of an underground experiment. Her captors explain to her that she has a genetic abnormality that can potentially allow her to “rupture” and reveal her alien nature. Renee must find a way to escape before it is too late.
Rupture also stars Peter Stormare, Kerry Bishe, and Michael Chiklis. The sci-fi thriller will be shown exclusively on DirecTV beginning March 30th, followed by an April 28th theatrical, VOD, and Digital HD release by AMBI Media Group.
