One of Bellator’s biggest fight cards of the year is moving over to Pay-Per-View rather than airing live entirely on Spike TV. Since it won’t be free this time fans are probably wondering about the PPV price tag. Well, Bellator President Scott Coker revealed the official price for Bellator 180 on Monday.
During an interview on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Coker dropped some insight on Bellator 180, including the price tag ($49.95) for the high-definition event, which will be held in New York City.
Coker said,
The pay-per-view, just so you know, is $49.95. Some providers, I think they have the ability to choose and pick (prices) and whatever, but suggested retail price is $49.95.
This will be Bellator’s second PPV event since it started. A grudge match between rivals Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva will serve as the main event. The co-main event of the card is a heavyweight bout between Fedor Emelianenko vs. Matt Mitrione. The pairing were supposed to meet at Bellator 172 but Mitrione had to be hospitalized due to kidney stones.
The PPV portion of the MSG card will be referred to as Bellator NYC. The undercard, airing on Spike, will be Bellator 180 slated for June 24, 2017 at the Madison Square Garden.
