Blake Lively took on a massive great white in The Shallows, now it’s time for Mandy Moore and Claire Holt to do the same in 47 Meters Down. A new shark-thriller just in time for summer and we have a first look at the film via a trailer. For those of you who are eager to get back in the water, I highly suggest avoiding this teaser, or the film entirely, because it’s scary as hell.
Two sisters, vacationing in Mexico, are trapped in a shark cage at the bottom of the ocean, with less than an hour of oxygen left and great white sharks circling nearby.
Directed by Johannes Roberts from a screenplay by Johannes Roberts and Ernest Riera, 47 Meters Down also stars Matthew Modine. The film is currently tapped for theaters on June 16th.
