Former Champ Anthony Pettis To Meet Jim Miller At UFC 213

Anthony Pettis

In less than 3 months from now it will be time to return in Anthony Pettis’ MMA world again. The former UFC and WEC lightweight champion has been officially booked for a fight in July.

That’s right! Pettis who once ruled the lightweight division is setting his sight for another run at 155-pounds. It’s a stacked division where he formerly dominated top ranked fighters such as Jeremy Stephens, Benson Henderson, Donald Cerrone, Gilbert Melendez, and among many others.

Following an unsuccessful run at featherweight, most recently losing to Max Holloway via third-round stoppage at UFC 206, Pettis will face MMA veteran Jim Miller at UFC 213.

Miller, 33, is one of UFC’s most enduring fighters. He has been competing in the organization since 2008, earning over time six Fight of the Night bonuses and three Submission of the Night bonuses. A recent loss to Dustin Poirier in February put a stop to a four-fight win streak.

UFC 213 will be held on July 8, 2017 at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
