It appears like former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is taking another step closer to retirement from MMA.

Besides appearing in more films and her recent guest role on NBC’s Blindspot, Rousey will also star in a TV reboot. That’s right! On Tuesday, it was announced by Disney that the former UFC superstar will be leading a team of athletes on ABC’s reboot of Battle of the Network Stars. According to the announcement, former NFL star DeMarcus Ware will be on the opposite sideline to Rousey while ESPN’s Mike Greenberg and Joe Tessitore are set to host the TV show.

Battle of the Network Stars is expected to be a 10-episode show, which will begin airing on June 29th on ABC and will feature 100 TV stars from 14 different networks, much like the original ’70s and ’80s version of the show.

Rousey, 30, was last seen inside the Octagon against current women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 in December 2016. She lost the fight via TKO due to punches at just 48 seconds into the first round of the title fight. Initially, “Rowdy” lost the belt in her first professional MMA loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 despite being a heavy betting favorite.

At the moment, there’s absolutely no signs of her returning to the UFC.
